Importer of Record Number

Do you have a CBP-assigned Importer of Record (IOR) number?

This is typically your EIN used with CBP for entry filings.

ACE Portal Access

Do you have an ACE Secure Data Portal account?

This is CBP's system for filing entries, reviewing trade data, and managing compliance.

Customs Bond

Do you have a continuous customs bond (Type 1) on file with CBP?

CBP will not release a formal entry unless a bond is on file. That can be a single transaction bond for one entry or a continuous bond that secures multiple entries.

Power of Attorney

If you use a customs broker, have you executed a valid Power of Attorney (POA) authorizing them to act on your behalf?

ISF / 10+2 Filing

For ocean shipments, are you consistently filing Importer Security Filing (ISF / "10+2") at least 24 hours before vessel loading?

C-TPAT Membership

Is your company a member of the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program?
