&&Based on the sample and product literature provided, the Anixter part #314031 – TE Connectivity part #369305-000 is fusion splice protection sleeve which consists of a clear outer heart-shrink material, a stainless steel rod for single fibre splices and a ceramic rod for ribbonized fibre splices to ensure proper alignment and rigidity. These sleeves are used to protect fusion splices and they fit into most splice holders. Splice protection sleeves provide mechanical and environmental protection for fusion splices of single and ribbonized fibre. The unit is prepackaged for retail sale.
