&&This is a hand operated, replacement fuel valve assembly for the Coleman 286 series propane lanterns. It is comprised of a forged and cast brass valve body with an attached plastic feed tube assembly and a plastic knob with fastening screw. The valve body and feed tube assembly sit inside the collar and fount assembly of the lantern, while the plastic knob attaches to the outside of the collar. The knob is turned to the 'high' position to light the lantern and may then be adjusted through the 'high' to 'low' positions to regulate the flow of fuel and the amount of brightness given off by the lantern. To turn the lantern off, the knob is turned to the 'off' position.
